Do I need a landline for fibre broadband?
Full Fibre eliminates the need for a phone line service, as it employs the latest fibre optic technology that runs directly to your home, utilizing 100% fibre cables without the need for legacy copper cables. You can however, pay rental for a VOIP internet calling service and can port your existing number to this service should you want to keep it.
Do you need broadband for a smart TV?
It depends on the number of Smart TV’s you have in your house and how many of you are streaming. Streaming standard definition programs on Netflix, for example, requires just 3Mb/s. However, once you start streaming 4K video you will need a minimum of 25Mb/s. With multiple persons streaming in a household you will require many times this minimum.
