HOW DO I SWITCH FROM SKY TO GRAIN?
If you’re considering switching from Sky to Grain, great choice! Here’s how to make the move without any hassle. Since our network is independent, you won’t need to worry about coordinating a same-day switch—you can keep both providers running simultaneously to avoid any downtime.
Check your contract
First, review your Sky contract to understand your end date and any potential cancellation fees. You can do this in two ways:
Either call Sky customer service at 0800 151 2747 (available 08:30 - 23:00 Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 22:00 Saturday and Sunday). Or, log in to your Sky My Account, go to the menu, and select ‘Message Centre’ to view your contract details.
Order a Grain package
Next, choose your Grain package! We offer speeds from 150Mb to 900Mb, with symmetrical upload and download speeds. You can also add extras like a digital phone line, static IP or wi-fi extender. Pro tip: If you want to keep your current phone number, let us know before you cancel your Sky service so we can transfer it for you.
After you’ve placed your order, we’ll contact you to schedule an installation on a date that works best for you. It’s that easy!
Give your notice
If you’re still under contract with Sky, you’ll need to give them 30 days notice. Check if you can keep any additional services like sports channels and be aware of any ‘exit’ fees if you’re still within your minimum commitment period – check your T&Cs.
You might avoid these fees if you’ve had very slow speeds, in-contract price hikes, or unresolved service complaints (We recommend not cancelling anything until we’ve completed your Grain installation).
