“Grain has installed their services at a large number of our properties without any fuss whatsoever. Schedules were clearly laid out in advance and installs were carried out to our specification. I’ve had a dedicated point of contact throughout the whole process and our business now offers a more compelling ultra-high-speed service which is essential to our tenants.

“I’m pleased to report that everything is now in place, the billing is very simple, and I trust I’m in good hands!”

Frequent landlord questions

Got a question? We have the answer!

Do I need a minimum number of homes?

No, not at all. If you have a handful of homes, or a thriving rental business with hundreds of tenants, we can help. Get in touch and we’ll take care of the rest.

What types of landlords can you provide service to?

We primarily serve landlords with multiple properties under their management, such as Housing Associations, landlords operating multiple HMOs, and property investors with extensive portfolios. If this sounds like you, get in touch to discuss your properties and see how we can support your broadband needs.

What is the cost of the installation?

Our standard installations are entirely free of charge. If you have any bespoke requests, we’re happy to discuss them with you to fully understand your needs. Once we’ve captured the details, we’re confident we can meet any requirements. Get in touch today to speak with our landlord account manager and see how we can help.

Do landlords have to provide broadband?

It’s not a legal requirement for landlords to provide broadband to their tenants. However, many choose to do so as it can significantly enhance the appeal of the property in the competitive rental market. Offering a broadband service can streamline the transition between tenants and eliminate the need for each tenant to arrange their own connection with individual providers.

What are the benefits to me of providing fast fibre broadband?

Having Full Fibre broadband in your rental property is a huge selling point for potential tenants, especially students or young professionals who rely on it for working, studying, browsing, gaming, and entertainment. They expect a service that can support multiple devices simultaneously. Given the future-proof speeds of a fibre connection, you’re unlikely to need another line installed, meaning any future disruptions or changes will be minimal.

Do you need to do a site survey?

Yes, a Grain engineer will do a short visual survey to decide the best way to install the line into your property, in the least disruptive way. The survey results will then be fed back to your account manager, who will work with you to create an installation plan.

Can I resell your broadband to my tenants?

Yes, you can sign up to Grain as the landlord, and then set the rate you charge your tenants for broadband as part of your agreement with them.
