Virgin Media O2 Joins the Price Rise Bandwagon with New Flat Rate Increase
It seems Virgin Media O2 have jumped on the bandwagon by changing how they do in-contract price rises. Following Ofcom’s recent guidance on inflation-linked annual price rises, Virgin Media O2 announced they’ll introduce a new flat rate price increase of up to £3.50 monthly for new and re-contracting customers, applied every April.
This flat rate increase is simpler than the previous inflation-linked increase but, for Virgin customers, the impact could be significantly more painful given it is set way above the rate of inflation applied under the old method.
