It all started with a chat. Install engineer, Samantha, spoke with Oldham-resident, Rebecca, about Grain’s Full Fibre broadband. Sold on the service, our sales team leader Dale then quickly signed her up and Queenie, one of our talented provisioning advisors, jumped into action and booked the install. After Samantha completed the physical install, Tom in technical support then concluded the process by overseeing the configuration of the Grain router for a successful connection and confirmed a connected device. By 17:09, just 29 minutes after the initial signup at 16:40, the customer was browsing the web with their brand-new Full Fibre service.

This wasn’t just any install—it was record-breaking. Previously, our fastest install clocked in at 36 minutes, set by engineer Salman for a customer in Middlesbrough. However, our Oldham team took it to a whole new level, proving that great things happen when a dedicated team strives to improve every day.
