What is Full Fibre broadband?
HERE'S THE RUNDOWN
Everything you need to know about our Full Fibre network, so you can make the best choice for your broadband.
Let's cut through the jargon
We’re 100% Full Fibre Full Fibre is the gold standard of internet connections and uses fibre-optic cables all the way to your home. The result? Faster, more reliable connections compared to traditional copper-based connections.
We’re an alternative network provider In short, altnets (like us) provide broadband services outside the traditional offerings from the more established providers. They can help create a bit of healthy competition, meaning better services and prices!
We’re building an independent infrastructure Our national infrastructure is a brand-new, purpose-built network designed to give each premise a dedicated fibre connection.
We deliver Fibre-to-the-Premises AKA FTTP. That just means the fibre goes directly to your home, not stopping halfway and relying on slower copper wires.
We use a Point-to-Point network This means your router is connected to your own dedicated fibre cable, which isn’t split between you and your neighbours – unlike PON networks.

What’s the difference between part and Full Fibre?
With a part-fibre connection – otherwise known as FTTC or Fibre-to-the-Cabinet, there is copper somewhere between the internet and your home – no doubt slowing down your browsing, streaming, working or gaming.
With Full Fibre – aka FTTP or Fibre-to-the-Premises – the fibre optic cable is taken directly from the data centre to the cabinet, then the cabinet to your home. Zero copper.

How is fibre internet installed?
The installation of fibre internet involves running fibre optic cables to your home. One of our expert engineers will then install a router at your premises (unless you have one already).
This equipment converts the light signals from the fibre into data that your devices can use. The process may involve some drilling to bring the cable inside but is pretty seamless, and we always tidy up – promise! Find out more. -
